    My head cannon of Dedan being a general before becoming a guardian.

    Being a guardian means that you cannot die of old age, thus living long enough to build the utopia of the nothingness and establishing a stable food inventory, recreation and mass industry. But before the
guardian of zone 1 held his title he was the top general of his corp. 
    Serving for 40 years and up into his late 60s. He was old, rusty, coming down with back pains and stiff necks. His leather skin was also wrinkling beyond repair. But he knew he hadn't reached the age of quiet afternoons and day time television, heck he didn't even find the time to have children, what stories are to be told of his glory days when there was no one to tell them to. Dedan scoffed at the idea of leaving his post, but he knew they were coming for him, with a message from his superiors and a farewell committee to mock his retirement. 
    And they did. He was livid, crushing the slip between his fists, holding in the feeling to lash out on who ever wrote this letter. 
    " I was the captain for this great war. A hero. A WAR HERO!"

Fast forward in a cabin with a single bed, a clock on 9 and world wide acre of land to breed his cows...which had been his one and only decent meal. The Queen gave him mercy, rebuilding his pride with skin made out of steel and a title he would always hold until his final breath.
